Eyewitness takes stand in Jam Master Jay trial

Uriel Tony Rincon gave eyewitness testimony on Wednesday that Karl Jordan shot and killed Jason Mizelle, otherwise known as Jam Master Jay in October of 2002. Fog Clings to North Carolina Coast Amid Record-High Temperatures

A boat traveling near the Topsail Inlet, just north of Wilmington, North Carolina, documented dense fog as a record high of 83 degrees Fahrenheit was recorded in the region on January 26. According to WECT Meteorologist Eric R Davis, the 83-degree temperature at the Wilmington airport broke the previous January record of 78 degrees set in 1975. The National Weather Service urged boaters to be cautious in dense fog, advising mariners to turn on all running lights, slow down, and listen. Big Snowflakes Fall in Denver Metro Area

Large snowflakes fell over Arvada, Colorado, on Friday morning, January 26, before decreasing throughout the day. Labor’s tax cut changes ‘spell disaster’ for PM: Andrew Clennell

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell has questioned whether the Albanese government’s reworking of stage-three tax cuts is “worth the pain”. “I think the key question here is how much is coming off the top end?” Mr Clennell said. As currently legislated, from July 1, the 37 per cent tax bracket for incomes between $120,001 and $180,000 would be removed and instead they would pay 30 cents in the dollar, meaning those earning between $45,0001 and $200,000 on the same rate. But under Labor's expected change, the 37 per cent bracket is set to stay for those making between $135,000 and $190,000, with the highest 45 per cent rate applied after the latter.
