Fog Clings to North Carolina Coast Amid Record-High Temperatures

A boat traveling near the Topsail Inlet, just north of Wilmington, North Carolina, documented dense fog as a record high of 83 degrees Fahrenheit was recorded in the region on January 26. According to WECT Meteorologist Eric R Davis, the 83-degree temperature at the Wilmington airport broke the previous January record of 78 degrees set in 1975. The National Weather Service urged boaters to be cautious in dense fog, advising mariners to turn on all running lights, slow down, and listen. The video, recorded by X user @jmch6119, shows foggy conditions along the waterway. Credit: @jmch6119 via Storyful Via news.com.au — Australia’s leading news site https://www.news.com.au
