Florida Police Use Lost Wallet Excuse to Help Man Propose

Police in Lakeland, Florida, helped a college student propose to his girlfriend by pretending the man’s wallet had been lost on December 10. The Lakeland Police Department said Florida Southern College Student Craig Vandenberg asked Campus Officer Leach for help to stage an elaborate proposal to his girlfriend, Emery. Footage released by the department shows Officer Leach calling Emery and asking her to pick up Craig’s lost wallet. When Emery arrived at Lake Morton to collect the wallet, Craig emerged from the police vehicle with flowers.
