Brundle approached the singer and actor, brushing past a man who told him Delevingne wouldn’t be speaking.Brundle replied: “She doesn’t want to talk? But that’s the deal now. Everybody talks on the grid.” He asked Delevingne: “Can we have a quick chat? Sky F1. The deal is everybody has to speak.” Delevingne responded: “I can’t hear anything. I’m so sorry.”Brundle cut his losses, roasting Delevingne by muttering: “I’m sure it would have been extremely interesting.”Let’s just say Delevingne’s refusal to chat to Brundle didn’t go down well with fans, who couldn’t believe someone with the privilege of being on the grid wouldn’t speak to a legendary broadcaster.Other celebrities including actor Florence Pugh, former One Direction star Liam Payne, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and singer Sam Ryder were more than happy to talk to Brundle before the race.Thankfully, acting power couple Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones restored some faith in humanity at last month’s Spanish Grand Prix when they praised Brundle for his commentary in a touching exchange.
