PM Albanese calls for sustainable growth of NDIS to ensure fairness

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has emphasised the need for a sustainable growth trajectory for the NDIS to ensure "equity and fairness" for all Australians living with disabilities, including those not eligible for the program. "We know that their trajectory of NDIS expenditure is just not sustainable into the future," Mr Albanese said in a media conference on Friday. "That trajectory projects some $97 billion on the NDIS in the medium term. "So in 10 years, when you look at the budget framework, that is simply not sustainable."
