VALUE BETRace 7, No.4: FINAL STATEMENTProduced an improved effort last start at Dubbo. JOCKEY TO FOLLOWBraith Nock is a bull rider turned apprentice with just two rides to date. Has a couple of winning chances.THE INSIDE MAIL FOR TAMWORTHRACE 1Local trainer Cody Morgan has a strong hand across the card and Satay Chicken looks a tasty option in the first. The four-year-old galloper returns from a break after just missing in his only other visit to the races at this track last year. He will need to run 1400m first-up but has been given three trials to prepare. Obviously Albert will be suited by the 150m distance rise after doing his best work late in his last run. Dommantella is placed in three of his nine starts to date. Will take the shortest way home from barrier one.Bet: Satay Chicken to win.RACE 2More than half of this field went around in a mile event at the same track on Christmas Eve. Sabie Park was the winner of that event in a super last to first performance. The Cody Morgan-trained galloper goes up 2kg from that performance but is capable of winning again. Fellow Australian Bloodstock-owned galloper Dauvenay was third in that race and now boasts a 3kg weight advantage on her rival with 55kg. The second of Kris Lees’ runners is Zippy Power. The Protectionist filly found trouble closer to the fence in the same race and would only need to find clear air this time to finish a lot closer.Bet: Sabie Park to win.RACE 3Finding Alice has placed in almost half her 13 starts with six placings to her name. Her fifth at Gilgandra last start had a fair bit of merit where she was making up ground late to finish three and a half lengths off the winner. She certainly finds a winnable race here. Kaisa went close to breaking the maiden two starts ago at Wyong, finishing a narrow runner up. The Lou Mary-trained mare is only lightly-raced and you would expect has her best racing in front of her. My Diamond Boy steps out to the mile now after getting four prep runs under his belt. Bet: Finding Alice to win.RACE 4Cyber Attack is a son of Exosphere that seems to be enjoying life in the country. The former John O’Shea galloper is now with Stirling Osland and followed up a win at Armidale with a second at Inverell. The two gate is another a big tick. Smart Shot returns from a break after he made an instant impression with a win and a runner up in his debut campaign. Another strong showing certainly wouldn’t surprise. Lightfast is a consistent galloper but doesn’t win out of turn. He’s finished runner up at his past two at Tamworth and Muswellbrook and gets the inside draw for his latest assignment.Bet: Cyber Attack to win.RACE 5Valoria should get the perfect run behind the speed from the inside gate. The Maurice mare has place in both previous first-up runs and finds a winnable maiden here. Russian Standard has been the bookies pal so far in his career. The Cody Morgan-trained galloper is regularly in the market and has placed five times in nine starts. After starting her career in Victoria, Allande is having her first start for Sue Grills. She could surprise first-up for the new stableBet: Valoria to win. RACE 6Very Sharp has built a competitive little record of four wins and 11 placings in 25 starts. After dropping back from city grade last start, the Rod Northam-trained mare finished a narrow second at Coonabarabran over 1100m. She looks a great hope this time from a favourable draw. Seguso will likely start the favourite. The Cody Morgan-trained galloper is bombproof first-up with two wins and two seconds. Fanaar is a three-time winner second-up and can run well from the draw.Bet: Very Sharp to win.RACE 7Final Statement has only found the winners’ stall once in eight starts but produced his best run for some time at Dubbo last start. The Press Statement gelding delivered his best performance under new trainer Luke Pepper when working home nicely for third. Sticks at the 1400m for his latest assignment. Imatruestar appreciated the step back in grade to a Benchmark 66 last time and will find this task even easier. The 2kg claim of Zac Wadick gets him in better at the weights with 61kg. Give Killzy some hope if she can overcome the 12 alley.Bet: Final Statement to win.RACE 8Apprentice Braith Nock chalked up his first win aboard Just Strolling last start at Inverell and can double the dose here. The four-year-old led from the front in that outing and gets the chance to do the same again here from barrier one. Expect Ostracised to be ready to run a bold race first-up. The Cody Morgan-trained has raced well fresh in the past and will benefit from Jasper Franklin’s 1.5kg claim. Briefly looked a big hope until she drew wide while her main rivals drew in. Trumped Up isn’t without a hope.Bet: Just Strolling to win. Via news.com.au — Australia’s leading news site https://www.news.com.au
