Lismore floods named fourth worst natural disaster in 2022

The Treasurer says people who lost homes in last year's Lismore flooding will be given a chance to rebuild away from flood-prone areas. The Lismore floods in February and March last year were listed as the fourth worst natural disaster in the world for 2022. The treasurer believes the biggest influences domestically on the Australian economy for 2023 are likely to be rising interest rates and natural disasters.
