Annual inflation hits 7.8 per cent in December quarter

Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood says annual inflation for the December quarter is at 7.8 per cent, up from 7.3 per cent previously. “The market had forecast that inflation would come in at 7.6 per cent today,” Mr Greenwood said. “But what’s happened is a range of different factors have affected the price of goods during that, not only quarter, but over the past 12 months.” Via news.com.au — Australia’s leading news site https://www.news.com.au
