‘Terrifying’: Soccer star carjacked live on air

Elissia Carnavas (nee Canham) was speaking to Simon Hill on SEN Radio’s The Global Game on Tuesday night when she fell victim to an alleged carjacking. The 37-year-old says she lives in Brisbane but it’s unknown whether she was there during the alleged carjacking.The football star is a weekly guest on The Global Game and was mid-sentence when she started screaming as men surrounded her vehicle.Hill took to Twitter after the incident to reassure his listeners that Ms Carnavas had escaped the horrifying incident.“Shout out to Elissia Carnavas who had an awful experience tonight live on air as thieves attempted to hijack her car. Thankfully, she got out of that situation and is fine,” he posted to Twitter.“The most terrifying moment of my career that’s for sure, and we’re just relieved she’s OK.”Listeners who had tuned into the live broadcast quickly turned to social media to share what happened.‘The audio of this made my blood run cold, about as horrifying as it gets.
