Bali bomber to be released on parole

One of the men responsible for the 2002 Bali bombings is due to walk free from prison within days after serving just half of his 20-year sentence. Umar Patek was granted an expedited release on Indonesia's Independence Day. Sky News Senior Reporter Adam Walters says the timing of the release is “appalling”. “But the reality is for the families of those lost in these attacks, there’s never going to be a good time for the release of the perpetrators,” he said. The terrorist attack killed 202 people, including 88 Australians. Via news.com.au — Australia’s leading news site https://www.news.com.au
