New York Police Officer Pursues Car on Foot After Elderly Driver Suffers Medical Episode

A police officer chased down and stopped an elderly driver experiencing a medical episode in Tonawanda, New York, after they had hit several vehicles and driven through red lights, officials reported The Town of Tonawanda Police Department said the driver did not respond to officers’ attempts to stop the vehicle and was driving on the wrong side of the road. “Officer Joe Cavalleri (AKA Roadrunner) sprinted after the vehicle and was able to safely bring it to a stop,” the department said.
