Completed in 2020, the four-bedroom house was brought to life by Shimi Braude, developer and co-founder of Mayfair Development Group.Mr Braude said his client – who is selling the masterpiece with a $5.8m-$6.38m asking price – wanted to create a functional home that served as its own “piece of living art”. As you walk into the home the first thing you see is the rumpus room and you see the window with the pool and garden outside. “And, similarly, from the master suite you have a view of the pool.” The client “really wanted it to be that he could wake up and go for a dip to wake himself up”, he added.Likewise, the facade was made to be something that “stands out and shouts at you”.“It was really about making a presence on the street,” Mr Braude said. “There’s a few incredible homes along Wellington St and we were really making the most of the orientation of the land.“It’s not a huge site, but it’s about making it as big of a home and making a nice garden area and swimming pool, too.”The developer said the owner gave creative license to architecture firm Urbanspacecraft, who made a statement with the colour and style of the home.“The copper is very much a special feature, it’s a very aesthetic selection as well as durable,” Mr Braude said. “That’s been incorporated into many different places: the balustrade, features in the living room and it ties in nicely with the master ensuite where there’s some rose gold tapware.”Each staircase was designed differently, too, marking the property’s three levels as their own space. High ceilings and skylights were also included and a low-maintenance garden installed around the perimeter. A rooftop terrace adds city and bay views to the home’s long list of features.
