New South Wales paramedics strike over staff shortages

Hundreds of paramedics across New South Wales are going on strike this morning, refusing to leave their own stations to cover shortages. They're calling for better wages and another 1,500 staff to be hired, saying they're suffering from serious burnout. The Australian Paramedics Association is warning that every Monday, workers will refuse to transport non-urgent patients or conduct post-treatment discharges until a deal is reached.
