Satellite Images Show Extent of Damage by EF-3 Tornado in Louisiana

Satellite images taken before and after a tornado struck the Arabi area of New Orleans show the extensive damage the storm unleashed on homes on the night of March 22. At least one person died and thousands of homes were without power after an EF-3 tornado touched down in New Orleans. Widespread damage was reported across St Bernard Parish as officials announced several road closures. The National Weather Service (NWS) said it confirmed two tornadoes in the region – an EF-1 in Lacombe, and an EF-3 in New Orleans areas including Arabi.
