Eastern Tennessee Wildfire Injures One Person and Forces Evacuations

The Hatcher Mountain Road/Indigo Lane Fire injured one person and forced evacuations near Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Wednesday, March 30 The Sevier County Emergency Management Agency issued a mandatory evacuation order for Wears Valley’s Hatcher Mountain area and the resorts of Shagbark and Little Valley, including residents in the vicinity. As of Wednesday evening, the agency reported the fire was about 250 acres and was at zero percent containment. This footage taken by retired journalist Mel Watson shows the fire.
