Mid-Session 22 Feb 22: Aussie market slides as Ukraine-Russia tensions intensify

The Australian sharemarket is down by ~1%, dragged lower by intensifying Ukraine-Russia tensions. While US markets were shut last night for the Presidents' Day holiday, European markets were mostly lower and futures are pointing to a potentially challenging start to US trade this evening.
