COVID tests included in US New Year’s celebrations

For many Americans, the celebrations to welcome the new year are looking quite different to last year's - with some New Yorkers spending thousands of dollars on COVID tests for their party guests. This year's celebration in Times Square has been scaled back with additional safety measures. However, New York is not the only city scaling back - in Chicago, the fireworks show has been designed to make social distancing easier.
