Woman dumped outside hospital dies

Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola spent two weeks in a coma after she was dropped off outside Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles hospital on November 13, the NY Post reported.The NY Post reported Cabrales-Arzola’s organs will be donated to nine different people, her family said as they announced the devastating update over the weekend, according to KABC-TV.The lifeless body of her friend, model and aspiring actor Christy Giles, 24, was also dumped two hours earlier outside Southern California Hospital in Culver City by two men allegedly wearing bandannas over their faces.The women’s family and friends claim the two women had been drugged against their will after a night out on the town, KABC-TV previously reported.Cabrales-Arzola’s father, Luis Cabrales Rivera, 49, fought back tears Monday as he told The Sun his daughter was just days away from her 27th birthday.“We were already expecting it to be bad news and we’re trying to take it with a lot of strength,” the grieving dad told the outlet.“I asked God to return Hilda to me in 100 per cent good health but if she was going to be left impaired it is better for her to leave and go by His side.“It gives me a lot of peace to think that God lent her to us for almost 27 years — on Monday it will be her 27th birthday,” he added.Speaking about the decision to donate her organs, Rivera said he is “grateful that with her last breath she will be able to give life to others and that she will live on in the heart, eyes, lungs of someone else.”Giles’ mother, meanwhile, insisted that her daughter must have been drugged because she had serious self-defence training from her ex-soldier father.She said her daughter would have “fought like hell” if not incapacitated. “My daughters have been taught literally how to kill a person with a ballpoint pen,” Dusty Giles told the Sun.“My daughter is a military police officer’s daughter, her father, Leslie, served in Iraq.”Dusty expects her daughter’s toxicology report will reveal traces of heroin and fears the drug was forcefully injected before Christy was brutalised.“The only way that these men would have kept my daughter and Hilda for over 10 hours would be by giving them drugs, maybe tying them up,” she told the US Sun.The grieving mom said Christy had been open and honest about dabbling in illicit drugs, which is why she is so sure the model was honest about avoiding heroin.“Was my daughter an angel? No, my daughter did dabble in what she said were party drugs,” she continued.Giles’ husband, Jan Cilliers, 40, has claimed to have seen video of masked men dressed in black pull up to the hospital, where they pushed the model’s body out of a Toyota Prius without license plates.Cabrales-Arzola’s friend Christy’s phone records showed that the two friends’ last known location was at an apartment in Beverly Hills where neighbors told the Sunthey heard someone “moaning in pain” hours before the women were dumped.Cabrales-Arzola had moved to LA in July from her Mexican hometown of Monterrey, where she graduated as an architect from Monterrey University two years ago, the Sun said.Her mom, Marcela Arzola, younger sister Fernanda and her stepmother, Carolina, have all traveled from Mexico to be by her side, it reported.“Hilda told me that she would sometimes smoke marijuana to help her to get to sleep but the drugs that were found in her system were not drugs she would have taken herself,” Rivera told the Sun.“Her mother is a doctor, her stepfather is a doctor and they have always told her that she should not take opioids because they could cause irreparable damage or cardiac arrest,” he said.“She was informed about all that and wouldn’t have consciously taken anything like that.”LAPD officials have declined to comment with the investigation ongoing.This story originally appeared on the NY Post and was reproduced with permission.
