PM to crack down on ‘toxic’ social media

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has launched a fresh assault on tech giants, promising to set up an inquiry to look into the 'toxic impact' of social media. Mr Morrison has established a parliamentary committee which will work over the next few months and report back by February. The committee is expected to review social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and TikTok. There's also expected to be attendance by high-profile media personalities and sporting stars who have been the target of social media attacks. On Sunday the prime minister announced legislation which would try to unmask social media trolls. Via news.com.au — Australia’s leading news site https://www.news.com.au
