Travel between London and Glasgow was snarled on October 31 after storm damage caused the suspension of train service from Euston Station on the day the Scottish city opened the COP26 UN climate summit. In a statement, Network Rail said that “extremely heavy rain and strong wind” impacted its lines. The agency said a tree fell, damaging wires on the West Coast main line and shuttering it in both directions. This video, taken on Sunday inside Euston Station, shows crowds following the suspension of service. Rail travel in the UK was further hampered on Sunday evening, when two trains crashed near Salisbury, in Wiltshire. British Transport Police said that no one died in the incident, but reported that “a number of people have been injured.” Credit: Network Rail via Storyful Via news.com.au — Australia’s leading news site https://www.news.com.au
