Rutgers University professor promotes ‘blatantly racist’ ideas about white people

Sky News host Rita Panahi says a Rutgers University professor has promoted “blatantly racist” ideas about white people in a recent interview. Professor Brittney Cooper argued white people are “morally and spiritually bankrupt” when it comes to the way they think about power and they have an existential fear of letting go of it. “It is either that you dominate or you are dominated,” Professor Cooper said. “And isn’t it sad that that is spiritually who they are and that they can't imagine a sort of more expansive notion of the world?” Ms Panahi argued people like Professor Cooper “see racism everywhere” except in the words they utter themselves. “You can imagine you’d pay a lot of money to be lectured and marked by someone with that mindset,” Ms Panahi said. “Just imagine that, imagine if you’re academic future is in her hands and she’s got these wacky, backward, racist ideas.” Via news.com.au — Australia’s leading news site https://www.news.com.au
