No date for when Western Australia will open borders

Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan has indicated a plan for the state's borders may be several months away from being formalised. Western Australia is the only state or territory which hasn't released a timeline to ease restrictions for fully vaccinated travellers. Mr McGowan says discussions are ongoing, but a formal plan will come when the state reaches higher vaccination levels. He also says there's no timeline for when New South Wales will be re-classified from extreme to high risk, a move which would reinstate compassionate exemptions.
