Racing NSW expert Brad Gray has tipped for Eduardo as the favourite for Saturday’s Classique Legend Stakes, describing the eight-year-old as a “bulldog” who “just seems to be getting better”. Eduardo, one of six Everest runners in the field, is expected to lead out early, and will hope to keep Masked Crusader at bay during the 1,300-metre race. “Big bonuses up for grabs, but I’m with Eduardo, he’s certainly going to look the winner at some stage,” Mr Gray told Sky News Australia. “He’s a bulldog, he’s eight-years-old but he doesn’t seem to know that, he just seems to be getting better and better and better with every prep. “We saw him in the Everest, he ran a cracker, just tucked in behind the speed and tried to chase down Nature Strip, couldn’t quite get there. “Today, he’ll lead, he’ll kick for home and Masked Crusader will be the one sprouting wings late.” Sponsored content by Racing NSW.
