Six Queensland areas to enter stage two restrictions

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says from 4pm today six areas will enter into stage two restrictions. It comes as the state recorded six new locally acquired cases of COVID-19. "We will go from stage three to stage two for the following areas: from 4pm today for two weeks will apply to Brisbane, Gold Coast, Moreton Bay, Logan, Townsville and Palm Island," she said at a media conference on Thursday. "That means the number of people allowed into your home will be 30 including visitors, resident and children, weddings and funerals will go back to 100, 20 people dancing at weddings, restaurants and cafes for two weeks will return to one person per 4sqm rule." "I think everyone realises that we've got to put these restrictions in place if we are to avoid a lockdown at this stage." Via news.com.au — Australia’s leading news site https://www.news.com.au
