Fears grow of inevitable Qld lockdown

Health authorities are waging a desperate war, sparked by a truck driver from Sydney who tested positive and is now under police investigation over his movements.The man allegedly remained in Queensland for almost two weeks after arriving on September 16 and visited a number of good outlets and pubs over the space of a week, but failed to check-in using the mandatory QR code system.Police allege he refused to co-operate with health officials and they had to rely on his credit card transactions to build a picture of where he had gone.On top of that, a Brisbane woman tested positive late on Wednesday night after returning from a northern New South Wales hotspot.There are now 18 active cases across the southeast and a growing number of exposure sites.
