Teens escape injury in horrific taxi crash

Just after 2am on Wednesday, emergency services responded to the crash on the corner of Seaford Rd and Main South Rd in Old Noarlunga.One occupant needed to be cut from the taxi after being trapped, while paramedics treated the five other people at the scene.Two 16-year-old girls and an 18-year-old woman were taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, and a 14-year-old boy and 26-year-old man were taken to the Flinders Medical Centre. Miraculously, all sustained non-life threatening injuries.The 20-year-old male driver was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre with minor injuries and will undergo mandatory blood tests.A portion of Main South Rd has been closed to northbound traffic between Griffiths Drive and Seaford Rd while investigations begin and the site is cleared.
