Survey: Majority of Australians want preferential treatment for the fully vaccinated

A clear majority of Australians want fully vaccinated people to receive preferential treatment, survey finds. The second part of the landmark YouGov/News Corp poll has found a clear majority of Australians want fully vaccinated people to receive preferential treatment. The revelation is part of broader findings of the survey revealing attitudes towards interstate borders are shifting. Australians were asked whether state borders should stay open once the vaccine rollout is complete. 62 per cent of respondents said yes – if people are vaccinated. 30 per cent said yes – even if unvaccinated. Meanwhile, eight per cent said borders should not be open while COVID is still around. Further, 66 per cent of respondents said they would support a vaccine passport, similar to the French scheme, to access venues – while 21 per cent opposed the idea.
