Accumulated rainfall exceeded 200 millimeters (about 7.9 inches) in Miyun, a district located about 48 kilometers (approximately 29.8 miles) from Pinggu, local media reported. The yellow weather warning for heavy rainfall in Pinggu was lifted on Tuesday night while showers and thunderstorms remained possible throughout the night, according to the Beijing Meteorological Service.
