More than half a million COVID disaster payments already processed

Treasurer Josh Frydenberg says more than half a million COVID disaster support payments have already been processed with 93 per cent of people applying online. Workers who have lost between eight and 19 hours of work a week are eligible for $375 payments while those who have lost more than 20 hours are eligible for $600 payments. “More than half a million of these payments have already been processed and Services Australia has brought to the task more than 14,000 staff,” he told Sky News. “We’ve seen 93 per cent of people apply online.
