Parents outraged after school forces boys to apologise to girls for gender

Parents at a Victorian school were left “furious” and “outraged” after their sons were forced to stand up during assembly and apologise to girls for being male. The Herald Sun’s Suzan Deblasic told Sky News parents from Brauer College in Warnambool contacted her “really furious” about what the school had done. The parents of the boys were not notified of the assembly before hand and were shocked and “disappointed” to learn the school had forced the boys to apologise. Ms Deblasic said the parents were confused as to why their sons should "all be labelled the same”. “That’s where the outrage was sparked from,” she said.
