Lake-Effect Snow Slams Northern Michigan

Lake-effect snow blanketed northern Michigan on Tuesday, January 19, with forecasters warning of continued snowfall through Wednesday. Northern Michigan towns of Gaylord, Petoskey, Charlevoix, Mancelona, Kalkaska and the northern Traverse City were reported to have had at least two to four inches of snow on Tuesday, with predictions of “vigorous” snowfall to hit southern Michigan by Tuesday night.
