Aftermath of Earthquake Leaves Petrinja, Croatia in Ruins

At least seven people were reportedly killed after a magnitude-6.4 earthquake struck central Croatia on December 29. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said the earthquake struck southeast of the nation’s capital Zagreb at 11.20 am local time. The earthquake was felt in neighboring countries including Slovenia, where lawmakers were forced to evacuate the Slovenian National Assembly.
