Residents Evacuate as CalWood Fire Destroys Homes in Boulder County

At least 26 homes were reportedly damaged by the CalWood Fire after the blaze forced evacuations on October 18. The CalWood Fire broke out on Saturday near Jamestown in Colorado’s Boulder County, north-west of the city of Boulder. News reports said around 3,000 people were evacuated including the entire town of Jamestown. Firefighting authorities reported the blaze had burned 9,106 acres and was 17 percent contained by 10 pm on October 19.
