Commuters Startled After Kangaroo Bounds Past Tram Stop in Canberra

Commuters were startled after a kangaroo bounded past them at a light rail station in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, on September 30. Video captured by Canberra Metro Operations security cameras shows the roo speeding past two people waiting at the public transport stop, causing a woman to take a step backward to make way. “Customers are reminded to not be like Skippy, and instead stay on designated footpaths and crossings when accessing the light rail stops, keeping everyone #RailSAFE,” Canberra Metro Operations said in a Facebook post.
