Rescued Beluga Whales Take First Swim in New Sanctuary

Two former captive beluga whales, Little Grey and Little White, took their first swim in their open water sanctuary home in Iceland on September 27. SEA LIFE Trust confirmed the whales were enjoying the natural surroundings of the wider sanctuary at Klettsvik Bay on Heimaey, one of the Westman Islands off the south coast of Iceland. In June 2019 the whales were transported by air, land and sea from Changfeng Ocean World in Shanghai to the whale sanctuary in Iceland.
