Smoke From Raging Pine Gulch Fire in Colorado, Triggers Air Quality Concerns

Smoke from fires in Colorado triggered air quality warnings from officials on August 20. “Smoke from the #PineGulchFire and the #GrizzlyCreekFire continues to create heavy impacts in areas of central and W CO. Air quality continues to be a concern in these areas on Thursday and into Friday. Good day to stay indoors, protect your health,” an alert from the Colorado Air Pollution Control Division read. Aerial footage of the 122,550 acre Pine Gulch fire showed smoke rising from the blaze which was 17 percent contained on Thursday evening.
