Jersey Music Fans Get Their Fix With Drive-In Concert

Around 1,000 cars packed into a Jersey Shore parking lot on July 11 for a drive-in concert held in Oceanport as music venues remained shut due to COVID-19 measures. This footage, posted to Twitter by Tom Galvin, shows cars at Monmouth Park for the show, by Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. “Live music! Finally,” Galvin wrote on Twitter. “This will be one of the strangest shows we have ever done, but we like that kind of challenge,” said Southside Johnny ahead of the concert, as quoted by Jersey Arts. “We trust ourselves and the music and we love our audience and believe in them, so it should be fun,” the frontman said.
