Americans protest police brutality after Minneapolis death

Hundreds of people are marching in the streets of Minneapolis over the death of George Floyd after video footage emerged showing a police officer kneeling on his neck before he fell unconscious. Police were responding to a call about an alleged forgery when they arrested the 46-year-old security guard who could be heard yelling in the viral video that he could not breathe before falling unconscious. The officers involved in the incident have been stood down as protestors call for them to be criminally charged. Officers took to firing tear gas into the crowds as protesters converged at a police station and began damaging property.
