Barcelona Hospital Physical Therapists Dance With COVID-19 Patient to Encourage Mobility

Physical therapists at the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona, Spain, danced with a coronavirus-diagnosed patient who the hospital said had been unable to move in the intensive care unit for 30 days. Video from the hospital, posted to Twitter on April 26, shows the patient, identified as a man named Felipe, dancing to a song by Sergio Dalma. There had been 23,822 confirmed deaths in Spain as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic by 28 April, according to official figures. The country’s lockdown measures were due to be eased from May 4, when some small businesses would be allowed to reopen.
