Australian Olympic champion Ian Thorpe says he believes Coronavirus poses a real threat to athlete safety at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. Japan has 700 confirmed cases of the virus, believed to have stemmed from the Diamond Princess cruise ship. Mr Thorpe said it was too early to understand the full impact of the virus but each athlete should be able to make their own decision as to whether they compete in Tokyo.
