Tensions beginning to ‘ratchet up’ between US and North Korea

There will be “tense days ahead” with top US diplomats preparing for another North Korea missile test, according to Sky News contributor Bruce Wolpe. According to the New York Times, North Korea is planning to imminently test an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of reaching American shores, with Pyongyang warning the world should expect a “Christmas gift” if sanctions against the rogue nation are not lifted. Mr Wolpe told Sky News the situation on the Korean Pennisula is fraught. “North Korea wants relief from relentless US sanctions, but the US wants some progress on nuclear weapons, right now that is at an impasse," he said.
