Hong Kong protesters stage violent rally at shopping centre

Riot police have detained 15 people in Hong Kong after a violent rally at a major shopping centre. One hundred masked demonstrators swarmed the centre, to protest parallel traders and shoppers from mainland China. Officers fired pepper spray at crowds, hoping it will be enough to stop them from gathering again on New Year's Day.
