‘Family is key’ for children affected by horrible drought

As drought continues to ravage parts of New South Wales and Queensland, the impacts it has had on the younger and next generation of farmers is often forgotten. Two brothers in Burroway NSW have seen the effect of the drought on their parents and of course their family's livestock as the property has suffered through drought for almost three years. Lachlan and Murray Devlin told Sky News "family is key" as they tell of the struggles their family has endured including hand feeding their live stock for three years, and shooting stock. Murray, 12, has turned to tending to his mother's vegetable garden as a much needed reprieve from the daily struggles the drought has brought.
