Multiple Victims Reported in Strikes on Lysychansk

Ukrainian officials in the eastern Luhansk Oblast said four people died and several more were wounded on Thursday, June 16, in two strikes on the city of Lysychansk, one of which hit a building where people were sheltering. Luhansk’s governor Serhiy Gaidai said rescuers found the dead bodies in the rubble of that building. This footage shows the aftermath of the strikes as wounded individuals were carried out on stretchers into vans by police and plainclothes civilians. Rescuers are shown rapidly searching through the rubble and calling out for any remaining survivors. An operation to clear the rubble and recover individuals is underway, officials said.
